What flies out my Remington by DavidSL What flies out my Remington by DavidSL
More from my adventures on a typewriter - I bought a vintage Remington No.5 Streamlined (circa 1938), it's beautiful - and I use it to write as much as I can at the moment. As much as I can is as much as I can be bothered - and I'm trying to work hard to up my input writing wise.

Anyway, this is something I wrote more out of despair than anything. Everything I write lately is directly influenced by whatever I happen to be reading at the time. I read some Mark Twain, it gets into my writing, I read some Jack Kerouac, I'm using his run on sentences and deliberately inventing my own grammar to emulate his style. I'm hoping that the more I start to read, the more I'll find my own voice amongst the millions out there...

Thanks for reading! :)

I'm not really capable of fully appreciating literature the way you do, but I like the way this looks. I'm looking for inspiration to make a piece using a quote from On the Road for a friend's birthday. I feel this is a good place to start.

Thanks!
